The 2027 Nissan Z Is Coming to Nashville. Here's What Changed.

The 2027 Nissan Z keeps everything that makes the current model worth buying and adds meaningful updates across the board. Restyled front end on Sport and Performance, a manual on the NISMO for the first time, and a new color option. Here is what is confirmed before it goes on sale.

What Does the 2027 Nissan Z Look Like?

Sport and Performance trims get a restyled front bumper and grille. The design pulls from classic Nissan sports car heritage, and the engineering behind it does real work: the new shapes improve cooling airflow and reduce aerodynamic lift and drag compared to the current model. The Z's proportions stay the same, long hood, short deck. The front end looks sharper than the current model.

Shinkai Green Pearl Metallic is the new color for 2027. The name means "deep sea" in Japanese, and the finish lives up to it. It is a fine-grain pearl that shifts in natural light in a way solid or standard metallic colors do not. The shade draws from the original S30-generation Z. Z Performance also gets forged 19-inch wheels with black spokes and a machine-finished rim, and a new tan interior option across the seats, door panels, center console, and dashboard.

What Performance Updates Does the 2027 Nissan Z Get?

Z Performance gains larger-diameter monotube shock absorbers for 2027, improving both ride quality and handling response through better vibration control. The 400-horsepower 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 carries over with the 6-speed manual and 9-speed automatic both available on Sport and Performance.

Every 2027 Z across all trims gets revised fuel tank engineering to maintain consistent fuel delivery during high-G cornering. It matters most when you are pushing the car hard and the tank angle shifts under load. Performance and NISMO also gain Qi2 wireless charging, with a cooling fan for device temperature management and magnetic alignment to keep compatible devices properly seated.

What Is New on the 2027 Nissan Z NISMO?

The NISMO gets the most significant changes for 2027. A short-shift 6-speed manual is now part of the lineup for the first time. Every previous Z NISMO came only with the automatic, so this is a real addition for drivers who want the most focused version of the Z with three pedals. The manual comes paired with dedicated V6 engine tuning developed specifically for it.

GT-R derived front brake rotors are fitted to the 2027 NISMO. The suspension is enhanced, the steering refined, and the active sound enhancement retuned. The result is comprehensively upgraded for more capable and consistent performance.
